NVIDIA Disclosure

As part of NVIDIA’s Vehicle Operations Program (“VOP”), NVIDIA collects and shares certain data as part of the research and development of NVIDIA’s automotive program. 

What data is being collected?

NVIDIA will collect the following information during your operation of/ride in the vehicles:

1. Video recording, including audio recording, via in-cabin dash camera that will be focused on both the driver and the front seat passenger. To clarify, the field of view would be all passengers, including those in the back.

How will this data be used?

The video recording, including audio recording will be used for:

1. Monitoring the safety and operational compliance of the driver and any passengers; and
2. The research and development of in-cabin features such as driver distraction monitoring via driver eye movement*

*Given that the video recording includes audio recording, as a friendly reminder, please do not discuss or reveal sensitive/non-work related information, including any personal information.

Will this data be shared outside of NVIDIA?

In-cabin dash camera recording may be shared with NVIDIA’s insurance in case of an accident. The recording will be shared with partners for research and development purposes.

Data Protection

Data will be stored securely in NVIDIA’s system. When sharing with NVIDIA’s partners, customers and third parties, the data will be encrypted in transit and also stored securely at the partner/customer/third party system. 

International Transfer

The data we collect will be stored in the United Kingdom (UK), United States of America (USA), the European Economic Area (“EEA”), as well as other locations to the extent required for us or our service providers to meet the project objectives. 

Where personal data is shared outside of the UK and/or the EEA, we apply safeguards to add to the data protections that apply to those data transfers. This includes an assessment of the adequacy of the third country in question, use of European Commission approved (or where applicable, UK approved) model contract terms where appropriate.

Retention

Data will be retained for the life cycle of the project.
