After nearly a decade, the Foundation made the difficult decision to end the Compute the Cure initiative, as we’re consolidating the Foundation’s resources to refocus in new areas.
Through grants and employee fundraising efforts, we have donated more than $5 million to cancer causes with this strategic philanthropic initiative.
Funding cancer researchers who use computing to accelerate the search for a cure.
Funding nonprofits that provide cancer care and support services.
Engaging NVIDIA employees in fundraising efforts for cancer-focused organizations.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally, accounting for 8.8 million deaths in 2015. Over the next two decades, the number of new cases is expected to rise by about 70 percent. 1
Technology plays an increasingly important role in cancer research, putting the NVIDIA Foundation in a unique position to help in the search for a cure and to support patients in their recovery.
