Eligible NVIDIA family members have a variety of benefits open to them to get and stay healthy, save money, and have fun—at work and at home.
Core benefits are offered at no cost to you. You pay a premium for optional benefits based on the plan(s) you choose and who you cover. Knowing the difference between core benefits and optional benefits can help you figure out when to sign up for the benefits you wish to have. Here’s the breakdown:
You Need to Enroll Within 31 Days of Your Date of Hire to Have Coverage and…
* If you take no action, you'll be auto-enrolled after 31 days into the Cigna HSA plan and after 35 days into NVIDIA's 401(k) Plan at 6% Pre-tax.
** NVIDIA’s contribution to your Health Savings Account will be available the month after you are hired. You can use your account to pay for qualified medical, dental and vision expenses incurred on or after your date of hire.
If you elect to waive medical coverage you'll receive a $1,200 credit per year evenly distributed per pay period. Please note: If you have a spouse, domestic partner or any other eligible family member employed at NVIDIA, you may not cover each other and only one of you may cover your eligible family members. One of you may decline benefits, but no waive credit will be paid. To waive medical coverage, log into the U.S. Benefits Enrollment Site and manually waive coverage.

Depending on where you live, you have up to several NVIDIA medical plans to choose from. Since your choice will be with you for a full year (or until the next open enrollment period if you’re a newly hired employee)—unless you have a qualified status change, you’ll want to pick the plan that best suits you and your family, medically and financially. One of the biggest considerations in picking a medical plan is cost. We provide top-notch healthcare at affordable prices for you. There are two costs you need to think about:
Visit the U.S. Benefits Enrollment Site and log in to enroll in optional benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and Flexible Spending Accounts. You have 31 days from your date of hire or a qualified status change (like a marriage, birth, or divorce) to update your benefits. If you don’t enroll in optional benefits, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the NVIDIA HSA medical plan, which might not be right for you. But you won't have dental or vision coverage, and you won’t be able to participate in the Flexible Spending Accounts.
Eligible employees are automatically enrolled in core benefits, including employee life, accident, and disability insurance.
